Expansion of existing sand and gravel quarry. Removal of approximately 800,000 tonnes of sand and gravel deposits over a ten year period. All screening and processing of material to take place within existing quarry area. All quarry infrastructure to be retained within the existing quarry - weigh bridge, road access, welfare building, wheel washing processing/plant, material storage etc. New woodland planting to north. Phased removal of young woodland area, with phased replacement/expansion of woodland and formation of large ponds as extraction proceeds. Vehicle movements consistent with current operations, using existing access road.
