Works: Trees

Proposal

T1 Beech (2 limbs)- Reduce the identified eastern lateral limb over Church Lane by apporx 6 metres, leaving a final length of approximately 8m,removing the overhang of the road and footway. Following a recent limb failure (after the report was written), it is suggested that a limb overhanging the road, is also reduced by approximately 3.5m, leaving a final length of approximately 8m. T2 Sycamore (tag 1791)- Reduce to an 8m monolith above the stem cavity, retaining the standing stem as habitat. T4 Lime (tag 1789) -Reduce the crown by approx 2m, so that the final crown spread is approximately 6m and the height is approx. 14m G1 - crown lift, overhanging public foothpath and road so that the final height is 2.5m over the path and 6m over the road to give clear pedestrian and vehicular access.

What happens while it is decided

The process from here

This application is with Hertsmere for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About this record

Reading the register

This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Hertsmere is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.

Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.
