Removal of 15 conifers in rear garden. The conifers have had to been reduced slightly due to dead wood over hanging neighbours garden. We are now concerned these could damage the neighbours property if left in situation. As they are very close to their property. There is also one on the opposite side of the garden next to our footpath and there has been some large branches come down. We are concerned that one could fall on us whilst in the garden. We have checked with planning and there are no TPOâ??s on any of our trees in the garden. We have many lovely native trees which will also benefit from the removal of these conifers as that are affecting the light these trees need. We would also like to replace the conifers with more native trees. We have been advised by a tree surgeon they the stumps would require stump grinding.

"Under Section 211 TCPA 1990 (as amended) we are giving notification of removal of 3 Yew trees and 4 Laurels in order to re instate our boundary line. We are giving six weeks clear notice of works commencing from date of this email. Please acknowledge receipt of this notice. Please note that one of the Yew trees is actually dead and only has large amounts of ivy wrapped all around it. We have had Alan Mitchell the tree consultant, visit site, who has advised that only notification is needed. Please advise asap if this is not the case and we will refer back to our tree consultant. Otherwise we will await the six week notice.

The tree is a Holme oak. We have 3 in our garden. Two of which are in good health. The one in question is completely hollow from the base rising up the tree to the main branches. There is also hollowing out on some large overhanging branches. . The tree surgeon has advised that the tree is now in a very unstable condition and it should be felled as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to the surrounding trees as the tree could topple at any time. We have also been advised not to get close to the tree for safety reasons. I have highlighted the tree in red.
