Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
T1 (TPO number T11) Remove 18m tall Ash tree. Reason to remove is because it is becoming dangerous due to very evident die back and decay, disease shows King Alfred's eggs. It is a large tree that needs immediate attention due to its proximity to the neighbouring properties. To be removed with MEWP as it looks too dangerous to climb.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

I am seeking consent to remove both Lawson Cypresses by felling the trees, including removing any root above ground level. The main reason for wanting to fell Tree Number T11 with TPO Number 520 is the safety risk it poses. The tree’s root system is actively causing physical damage to my property as the roots are uplifting driveway slabs, creating uneven surfaces. This has introduced a clear trip hazard, posing a risk to residents and visitors. The displacement appears to be ongoing, indicating that damage will likely worsen over time if the tree remains.
