Planning application

HGY/2026/0768

Hall Adjoining Risley Avenue Primary School, Church Lane, Tottenham, London, N17 7AA

Withdrawn Haringey Works to trees in Conservation Area

Proposal

2 x Large Chestnut - Cut entire trees as close to ground level as practically possible The reason for removal is the trees are very close to the building and are gradually causing some movement within the building and also the root base is lifting up the slabs and causing trip hazards. They are also blocking a lot of light within the upstairs hall. Please see attached pictures

What withdrawal means

The process from here

The applicant withdrew this application before the council decided it, so it carries no planning weight and no fee refund is automatic. Withdrawal often follows officer feedback that a refusal was likely.

The applicant is free to submit a revised application at any time, and many withdrawn schemes return in amended form, so the site is worth watching if the proposal affected you.

About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

There is a tree in the back garden I believe it’s a type of maple T1 , but not 100%. Its overdue a reduction. I've suggested around 2m off the top and match the sides to create a compound shape. It’s blocking out a lot of light to the end of the garden and is quite close to the buildings at the back.
