Elderberry to be removed from back garden. Tree is c.4 metres in height and the truck is 14cm in diameter at a level of 1.5m above ground. The tree resides on the rear boundary of 51 Tetherdown and the side of 1 Burlington Road. The owners of Burlington Road have had cracks in the side wall of their property (pictures available if required) which after investigation by B&SC Building & Structural Consultants Ltd have been attributed to the roots of the aforementioned elderberry. B&SC Ltd have recommended removal of the elderberry to prevent further structural damage to the property. Quote for works to remove professionally have been received from Greenfeat Gardening.

I need to advise Haringey council that we are going to fell this unsafe lime tree at the school which is within the Muswell hill conservation area. A large portion of the tree has already fallen to the ground and damaged a nearby garden shed. Only a 3.5m metre stem remains which we are going to fell to ground level. The stem itself is heavily decayed and presents a risk to the adjacent school grounds, therefore it needs to be removed. I have attached photos of the base of the fallen stem where the decay is visible and the remaining stem which is coated in vines and ivy.

T1 - Ash - Crown reduction by 3m in height bringing lateral growth to shape by 1.5m. Removal of all major dead wood, leaving the tree a standing height of 9m. Reducing the crown by approximately 3 meters in height and 1.5 meters laterally will help reduce overall crown weight and wind loading, while maintaining a balanced and proportionate crown.
