FIVE DAY NOTICE Cyprus (T1) Fell to ground level and 5 day notice to fell it due it being an extremely dangerous tree and is on the brink of falling over and has been propped up by a wooden beam since they moved in July 2022. I have attached photos and as you can see - it's not an insignificant size tree - but the trunk grows from the ground at a 45 degree angle before going completely horizontal for about 150cm before returning upright. It's clearly dangerous under its own weight and because it has been poorly maintained it looks a complete state too, so I'd like to replace it with another more appropriate tree when we come redo the garden this year.

We are intending to reduce the crown of the cherry tree in our (159 Farrant Avenue) garden, T1 as identified in the sketch plan. This is to reduce the overhang of the tree into 157 Farrant Avenue, reduce the risk of damage to properties in storms and maintain the overall health of the tree and surrounding garden. The crown reduction will see approximately 1.5m reduced from the top of the tree and between 1.5m and 1m on the sides, taking the tree to stand 4m tall and 3m wide, bringing the tree into a more balanced shape (where it currently sits unevenly). No works should impact the main stem of the tree, with reduction focused on tall and wide branches. We have discussed our planned works with a local tree surgeon and will agree access with our neighbour (157 Farrant Avenue) where required for the branches overhanging her property.
