Planning application
26/1607/TC
93 BLACKHEATH HILL, GREENWICH, LONDON, SE10 8TJ
Proposal
Buddleia davidii shrubs (approximately 3-4 stems/plants) ? Full removal of all Buddleia shrubs and stumps located along the rear and side boundaries of the conservatory. The largest single stem measures approximately 70mm diameter at 1.5m above ground level, which is below the 75mm threshold requiring notification. However, as this is close to the threshold, this notice is being submitted as a precaution to ensure full compliance. Removal is proposed due to the shrubs growing in direct contact with the conservatory walls and glazing, posing a risk of structural damage to the property.

What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

Mountain Ash to the front garden. The leaves and foliage to approx 1/3 of the tree have turned brown and shrivelled rapidly with the foliage given a scorched burned appearance. Please see two photos: the first taken 10.07.26 and the other today 27.07.26. demonstrating the rapid decline of the foliage. Upon initial investigation we believe the trunk to have contracted a bacterial infection. This is one of three. - to remove the dead infected areas. This work should be undertaken in a timely fashion to prevent further spread of the disease.
