SPANGATE, BLACKHEATH PARK, BLACKHEATH, LONDON, SE3 9RS
The tree in question is located within the communal gardens of Spangate and is refered to as tree 'Z' on the attached plan. The tree is a large silver birch and we understand that it was planted at the time of construction of Spangate - in 1963, making it around 65 years old. The tree has failed to 'leaf' this year - the first year this has happened. The advice from our arborist, who trimmed a good many of the trees in the comunal garden earlier this year, is that the tree is now dead. We therefore wish to have the tree felled and the stump removed.
