    It's an indian bean tree located the front of the house. It is a very big tree and is causing damage to the driveway and the lamp post located near is possibly being effected by the roots and it isn't straight and is wobbly. It also overhangs next doors driveway. I would like to apply to get the tree taken down for safety reasons and damage to driveway also potential damage by roots to the house in the future.

Remove any dead, damaged, crossing or defective branches as part of the works. Elder Trees Undertake a height reduction of approximately 2-3 metres and prune selected branches to reduce spread and maintain the trees at an appropriate size for the garden environment. Remove any dead, damaged or defective branches and retain the natural form of the trees. All works to be undertaken to current arboricultural best practice. ________________________________________ Reasons for the Works The trees have grown substantially in height and spread and are now creating excessive shading within the rear garden and affecting general garden enjoyment and maintenance. The proposed works are intended to: ? Maintain the trees at an appropriate size for a residential garden. ? Improve light penetration to the garden. ? Reduce future management requirements. ? Retain the trees as attractive landscape features. ? Promote their long-term health through sympathetic maintenance and pruning. No trees are proposed for removal. ________________________________________ Additional Supporting Statement Prior to submitting this notification, advice was sought from Gloucester City Council. Following informal discussions with the Council's Tree Officer, it was recommended that a formal application/notification be submitted regarding the Hawthorn trees. For completeness and to avoid any uncertainty regarding tree protection status, the Elder trees have also been included within this submission.
