7 Wigmore Close Gloucester GL4 5FF
It's an indian bean tree located the front of the house. It is a very big tree and is causing damage to the driveway and the lamp post located near is possibly being effected by the roots and it isn't straight and is wobbly. It also overhangs next doors driveway. I would like to apply to get the tree taken down for safety reasons and damage to driveway also potential damage by roots to the house in the future.

29 Kingsmead Gloucester GL4 5DY
Oak tree covered by an area TPO. A reduction is required to preserve the surrounding properties due to the tree encroaching on boundary gardens. The roots of the tree are already disturbing foundations and causing heave. Suggested reduction of 30%. The impacted tree does not appear to be labelled (or this cannot be identified from documents seen), aerial view of the tree provided. The tree sits within the boundary of 29 Kingsmead, encroaching the neighbouring properties, 47 & 48 Kennett Gardens.

Description of Trees Hawthorn (Crataegus species) ? rear garden about 8 metres tall Elder (Sambucus nigra) ? rear garden about 8 metres tall ________________________________________ Proposed Works Hawthorn Trees Undertake a crown reduction by approximately 2-3 metres in height and 1-2 metres in lateral spread, maintaining a balanced crown and the natural shape and character of the trees. Remove any dead, damaged, crossing or defective branches as part of the works. Elder Trees Undertake a height reduction of approximately 2-3 metres and prune selected branches to reduce spread and maintain the trees at an appropriate size for the garden environment. Remove any dead, damaged or defective branches and retain the natural form of the trees. All works to be undertaken to current arboricultural best practice. ________________________________________ Reasons for the Works The trees have grown substantially in height and spread and are now creating excessive shading within the rear garden and affecting general garden enjoyment and maintenance. The proposed works are intended to: ? Maintain the trees at an appropriate size for a residential garden. ? Improve light penetration to the garden. ? Reduce future management requirements. ? Retain the trees as attractive landscape features. ? Promote their long-term health through sympathetic maintenance and pruning. No trees are proposed for removal. ________________________________________ Additional Supporting Statement Prior to submitting this notification, advice was sought from Gloucester City Council. Following informal discussions with the Council's Tree Officer, it was recommended that a formal application/notification be submitted regarding the Hawthorn trees. For completeness and to avoid any uncertainty regarding tree protection status, the Elder trees have also been included within this submission.
