Planning application
Cedarholm School Crescent Corse Gloucester Gloucestershire GL19 3RE
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Fell Walnut covered by T1 of Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 124. The tree is exhibiting significant physiological decline, with extensive crown dieback (approximately 40-60%), sparse foliage and poor overall vigour. A sympathetic crown reduction was undertaken in 2023 as a retention measure; however, the tree has continued to decline despite this intervention, indicating limited long-term retention potential.

Undertake the following works to trees covered by A6 of Tree Preservation Order number DFTPO 179. Reduce 2 x Ash trees in rear garden to approximately 10 metres in height to alleviate wind loading and end weight due to infection with Ash Dieback disease and presence of bracket fungi at the base. Leave the radial spread no less than 3 metres and maintain as much of the new lower canopy as possible. Mature Willow to right hand side of garden when facing away from the house, remove the low branch growing towards the house and follow around the canopy raising the remainder to this height.
