Granted Exmoor National Park 2025/0900/TCA Works/Felling Trees in a CA

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

G1 - Common Beech (Fagus sylvatica) Three mature specimens forming one crown, rooted in hedgerow along boundary of driveway and access to public recreation/ cricket field. Reduce height of each tree by 3-4m and reduce spread of each tree to balance the overall group crown form. Thin crowns by up to 20%, by removing smallest diameter branches, to decrease overall density and shading. Reduce spread of northernmost tree to give adequate (1.5m) clearance of utility lines. Crown-lift group by up to 5.2m to give adequate clearance below crowns. Maintain a pleasing and balanced natural form.
