Proposal

T1 - Bay tree - Remove to ground level and stump grind to allow replanting. T2 - Apple tree - Remove to ground level. - Apple tree in rear garden The apple tree is in poor condition and showing signs of significant decline. It only came slightly into leaf this growing season, with a very sparse canopy and reduced vigour. The tree has also been historically pruned quite hard, which may have contributed to its current poor condition. There is a considerable amount of deadwood throughout the sparse canopy, including larger dead branches. Overall, the tree appears to be in advanced decline with limited signs of recovery.

Reason for works: The proposed works are intended to provide appropriate clearance from the neighbouring properties (Nos. 10 and 12) and the adjacent road, reducing the likelihood of branches coming into contact with the buildings during periods of high winds or continued growth. The crown reduction and selective crown raising will also allow increased natural light to reach the neighbouring properties while retaining the tree?s overall form, health and amenity value. The works represent a balanced approach to ongoing tree management and will help minimise the potential for future damage to nearby structures.

    Oak tree on no mans land embankment which over looks garden of 18 Falkland Close, Exeter, EX4 5EZ. It has a large branch overhanging our garden. Tree surgeon Mitchell Tree Surgery has visited site and advised it needs to be removed. He says it is a large overhanging heavy limb which could cause considerable damage. Last year a large branch from a neighbouring oak next to It came down in a storm and caused damage. Our neighbours in number 18 and ourselves are concerned about this particular branch we wish to report to be removed. The tree itself has grown to 60 foot plus range and we all feel our houses are at risk. Sketch plan attached
