Proposal

Tree cutting required on behalf of Openreach to allow new overhead fibre cable to be installed between telecoms poles outside of Station Garage and #9 Elm Grove. Access channel to be cleared through the tree canopies to allow cable to pass through. There is a telecoms pole on the footpath outside of 9 Elm Grove Road that they require hoist access to the top of the pole to install new cables. They are looking for us to fully expose the pole but the trees in the front garden of 7 and 9 have covered the majority of the pole. The branches directly affecting the pole would need to be pruned back to give access, we would not be looking to carry out any felling or excessive clearance. Team would be pruning around 10 branches to clear cable. I have attached photos of the branches we would need to prune Pruning specification Prune only those branches directly obstructing safe access to the telecommunications pole outside No. 9 Elm Grove Road, and the proposed overhead fibre-cable route between the poles outside Station Garage and No. 9 Elm Grove Road. Remove or shorten up to approximately 10 branches as necessary to -Fully expose the pole to allow hoist access and installation works. -Create a continuous access channel through the canopy for the overhead cable. -Achieve a clearance of 250-500mm between the retained foliage tips and the pole, proposed cable route and installed cable. All works shall be limited to the minimum necessary to achieve the specified clearances. No felling, general crown reduction or clearance beyond the defined access channel is approved.

    Oak tree on no mans land embankment which over looks garden of 18 Falkland Close, Exeter, EX4 5EZ. It has a large branch overhanging our garden. Tree surgeon Mitchell Tree Surgery has visited site and advised it needs to be removed. He says it is a large overhanging heavy limb which could cause considerable damage. Last year a large branch from a neighbouring oak next to It came down in a storm and caused damage. Our neighbours in number 18 and ourselves are concerned about this particular branch we wish to report to be removed. The tree itself has grown to 60 foot plus range and we all feel our houses are at risk. Sketch plan attached
