Planning application
24 Newcourt Drive Exeter Devon EX2 7JQ
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1 - Sycamore. Reduce eastern branches away from 24 Newcourt Drive by 2-3m, maximum diameter of cuts (MDC) 50mm T2 - Holm Oak. Reduce by 3-4m to match level of previously reduced stems, MDC 100mm Reason for works: T1 is nearly touching property. T2 has had two stems previously reduced, reduction of stems to match and to allow more light into garden. All works are considered to be good arboricultural practice.

T1 - Sycamore, repollard at existing pollard points approximately 5-6m above ground level. T2 - Sycamore, crown lift over parking area to 4m above ground level These trees have become overbearing for the gardens of no 8 & 10 Newcourt Drive inhibiting the reasonable enjoyment of their garden. The works are considered arboriculturally appropriate and will have little to no affect on the tree's overall physiological processes.

T1 - Sycamore, re-coppice. Justification: This Sycamore tree has multiple stems arising from an old decaying coppice stool with multiple bark inclusions and compression union formations. Coppicing is a cyclical process and this tree is now overdue, risk of stem failure is now at an unacceptable level.

19 Falkland Close Exeter EX4 5EZ
Oak tree on no mans land embankment which over looks garden of 18 Falkland Close, Exeter, EX4 5EZ. It has a large branch overhanging our garden. Tree surgeon Mitchell Tree Surgery has visited site and advised it needs to be removed. He says it is a large overhanging heavy limb which could cause considerable damage. Last year a large branch from a neighbouring oak next to It came down in a storm and caused damage. Our neighbours in number 18 and ourselves are concerned about this particular branch we wish to report to be removed. The tree itself has grown to 60 foot plus range and we all feel our houses are at risk. Sketch plan attached
