Withdrawn Epsom and Ewell 25/01211/TPO Consent for Works to Preserved Trees

Works: Trees

Withdrawn before a decision, so it carries no planning weight. A revised scheme can be submitted at any time.

Proposal

T1 - Horse Chestnut - Tree is failing to bud, left side of tree sounds hollow and has widespread cambial dysfunction, burrowing insect detritus is clear and copious from deteriorated wood zones. Multiple presentations of ganoderma spp. emerge from previous wounds, not in a way that looks isolated. Integrity of the tree is poor, especially given that the pathogen could be active in the joining wood of the main union. Requesting removal as soon as possible for safety reasons.

01 - Various - Crown lift all trees to a height of 3.5m 01 - Crown lift all trees to a height of 3.5 metres to provide adequate clearance from the adjacent buildings. The works will reduce the risk of branch contact with structures, improve access for ongoing maintenance, and ensure suitable separation between the tree canopies and the built environment.
