Application for Grade II Listed Building for proposed restoration of public areas in a sensitive manner, retaining existing features as well as re configuring some of the office spaces to create more collaborative working environments, flexible working spaces whilst retaining the existing features. On the ground floor a public facing consultation area and possibly new library facility will be introduced in the rotund element and also a new larger caf? space. It is proposed that the office spaces are opened out to provide greater flexibility within the Civic Building and provide the option of a large conference/ committee space which can be subdivided with bi-folding doors for meeting rooms etc. The cafe has been extended to provide a larger open plan area and extended kitchen. Additional WC's will be provided to cater for the building, both for the public and employees. 323 House will also be refurbished as part of the works and some small areas of partition walls removed to provide more usable spaces.
