Awaiting decision Elmbridge 2026/1881 Tree Preservation Order

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

Tree Preservation Order: EL:11/05 - T1- Lime (tilia)- The tree is located in a southerly direction in the back garden of the property. The client proposes removal of epicormic growth up to the crown break (approximately 6m up). The tree is currently 18m high 6m wide and will remain the same following the proposed works. This will allow more light into the property. T2- Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) located again in a southerly direction to the rear of the property. The client proposes a reduction in hight by 4m because they're concerned about the size of the tree and proximity to the house following some branches failing. The tree is currently 24m high and 6m wide and will be 20m high and 6m wide following the proposed works. T3- Yew (taxus baccata) located in a southerly direction to the rear of the property. The client proposes felling the tree as it is declining, half the tree has died already and the client would like the rest removed before it causes damage to property. The tree is currently 13m high and 4m wide.

East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

    34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS

Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
