Proposal
Tree Preservation Order EL:309 - T1 Beech (TPO EL:309 T49) Proposed Works Description: Crown reduction by up to 2 metres, with an overall average reduction of approximately 1.5 metres, carried out selectively throughout the crown to maintain the tree at or close to its current dimensions. Reason for Works: The proposed selective crown reduction is intended to help maintain the tree at or close to its current dimensions while preserving its natural form and structural balance. Due to the trees proximity to the adjacent property, the works are proposed to manage future growth and prevent the tree from becoming disproportionately large in relation to its surroundings. The works will help maintain an aesthetically balanced crown and manage future growth in a controlled manner, while having only a very limited impact on the health, vitality, and amenity value of the tree. All work to be carried out within guidance of BS3998:2010 with a maximum diameter pruning wound of 40mm T2 Common lime (TPO EL:309 T45) Proposed Works Description: Crown reduction by up to 2 metres, with an overall average reduction of approximately 1.5 metres, carried out selectively throughout the crown to maintain the tree at or close to its current dimensions. Land Side of Portsmouth Road Portsmouth Road Cobham KT11 2NH
Tree Preservation Order EL:18/07 - T1 - Horse chestnut - Proposed Works: Crown lift over the roadside only to provide a minimum clearance of 5.2 metres above ground level. All pruning shall be limited to secondary branches where practicable and carried out in accordance with BS3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations, with a maximum pruning wound diameter of 50mm. Reason for Proposed Works: Following a tree survey, it was identified that the crown over the carriageway has been subject to contact from larger vehicles in the past. The proposed crown lift will provide appropriate clearance for high-sided vehicles, reducing the likelihood of future vehicle strikes and preventing unnecessary damage to the tree, whilst retaining its long-term health and amenity value.
