Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
EL:02/25 - G1 - Three Lawson Cypress trees on front verge. Trees have a height of approximately 15 metres and a combined spread of approximately 7 metres, north to south and 2-2.5 metres east to west. Proposed works are to remove the trees due to low vigour, deadwood throughout crowns and general untidy appearance of trees, also to prevent future failures. G2 - Two Monterey Cypress trees on front verge. Trees have a height of approximately 19 metres and spread of approximately 10 metres north to south and 10 metres east to west. Proposed works are to reduce height by approximately 4 metres and reduce spread by approximately 1-1.5 metres from tips, leaving trees with a height of approximately 15 metres and spread east to west of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from road, footpath and driveway, reduce windsail in upper crown and allow light into property. G3 - Three Lawson Cypress trees on front verge. Trees have a height of approximately 18 metres and spread of approximately 4.5 metres. Proposed works are to reduce height by approximately 3 metres to match adjacent Monterey Cypress trees and trim side growth to tidy, leaving the trees with a height of approximately 15 metres and spread of approximately 4 metres. These works are being carried out to reduce windsail in upper crown, give clearance from road and footpath and maintain as a group with G2.

34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS
Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
