Works: Trees
Relates to 2025/0958
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
EL:94/09 - In June I was granted consent (Ref: 2025/0958 3 Ashdown Place) to carry out various tree reductions on 4 trees on the property (labelled T3, T4, T5 & T6 in the Tree Condition Report - which I re-attach for this application). In correspondence the consent granted for tree T6 was intended to be in-line with the recommendations made in the Tree Condition Report, but the actual consent was more restrictive. The works for T3, T4 & T5 have since been carried out as per the consent granted, but T6 was untouched and remains in need of a reduction. In accordance with that correspondence, I am hereby re-applying for consent to reduce tree T6 to 2m below the previous reduction points.

53 Wolsey Road East Molesey Surrey KT8 9EW
East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS
Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
