Tree Preservation Order EL:11/37: T9 - oak tree in rear green. Most of this tree's canopy hangs outside the owner's property and over Claygate Lodge Close, in particular the front drive and garden of 3 Claygate Lodge Close. The branches hang so low that food delivery vehicles cannot pass underneath and the extremities of some branches are less than 2 metres from the ground. It is oppressive. Lateral growth within the owner's property is suppressed by competition from conifers. Proposal: Crown lift to 4 metres over Claygate Lodge Close (the street and garden of no. 3). Reduce lateral spread over 3 Claygate Lodge Close by 1.5 metres. Current spread 8 metres, final spread 6.5 metres. Reduce height by 1.5 metres. Current height 18 metres, final height 16.5 metres.

Tree Preservation Order EL:20/08 - T38 - Oak Request to fell to ground level due to the tree's significantly declining condition and reduced long-term viability. The tree has been affected by Oak Processionary Moth (OPM), which has resulted in extensive crown dieback and a substantial reduction in vitality. In addition, the tree has suffered historic ring-barking damage caused during the construction of the adjacent residential development. This damage has disrupted the tree's vascular system and has likely contributed to its ongoing decline and limited ability to recover. The combined effects of OPM infestation and the historic stem damage have resulted in a severely compromised tree with extensive deadwood and dieback throughout the crown. The tree is located adjacent to neighbouring properties and areas of public access, and its deteriorating condition increases the risk of branch failure. Given the extent of the decline, poor physiological condition, and limited prospects for recovery, remedial pruning would not provide a sustainable long-term solution. Permission is therefore sought to fell the tree to ground level on the grounds of safety, declining health, and sound arboricultural management. A new tree wouild be planted to replacement

East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

    34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS

Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
