  Tree Preservation Order EL:186 - The tree is a Sycamore with TPO number T53 on a badge on it's trunk . On our Tree TPO report from Elmbridge ( circa 1984 ) T53 is stated to be a Holly so we suspect that the badge has been moved over the years and that this sycamore is not actually TPO'd . Nevertheless we wish to move with caution hence this application . We wish to entirely remove this tree as it is in poor health but more importantly it is growing aggressively into the space occupied by a beautiful specimen Poplar tree which we wish to allow to grown. The tree in question is also close to one of our 150 year old Sequoia and we are trying to ensure this area is in prime condition for all specimen trees to flourish.

  Tree Preservation Order EL:186 - A recent tree survey identified structural concerns with this willow, notably a weak fork union in the northwestern stem, which is heavily weighted and extends over the visitor parking spaces. Willow timber is known to be relatively weak and prone to failure, especially where unions are poorly formed or under asymmetric loading. To mitigate the risk of structural failure, the following works are proposed: Reduce both substems above the weak union by 3 metres in length to relieve pressure and rebalance the canopy. Reduce 1 no. large northern lateral limb, which is overextended and overhanging the visitor parking area, by 3 metres to reduce leverage and potential hazard. The proposed works are intended to:Address a known structural weakness. Reduce end-loading on vulnerable limbs. Maintain public safety around the car park. Preserve the tree's health and form in line with BS3998:2010 Tree Work - Recommendations

  Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
