East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - We would like to remove the Yew tree completely as identified in the attached sketches. We wish to remove for these reasons 1) Safety - very close to both 25 and 25A Palace Road buildings. Concern of falling branches into kitchen ceiling window adjacent to tree. Concern of toxicity of tree to young children living at 25 Palace Road. 2) Damage to Property - roots close to foundations of 25 and 25A, already creating damage to decking area of 25A - photo evidence supplied. 3) Creates significant shade to both properties, both 25 and 25A owners would like increased sunlight This tree is not visible from front of property or provide any coverage for other properties to offer amenity value. We would like to plant a new tree in alternative location within garden that is safe for children and pets to make up for loss of this yew. We propose a Fig tree midway down our garden away from all properties. Photos attached showing tree from rear of 25 Palace Road and decking damage at 25A. All owners of 25 and 25A Palace Road would like tree to be removed. A tree surgeon has been consulted and advised this would be possible including removal of trunk and roots.

East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Mature Lime tree situated on front boundary. Tree has a height of approximately 18 metres and spread of approximately 10 metres. Proposed works are to selectively reduce lateral branches growing towards property and road by approximately 1.5 - 2 metres and lift crown to a height of approximately 4 metres. Height of tree will not be affected by these works and spread will be reduced to approximately 7.5 - 8 metres. These works are being carried out to reduce end weight and give clearance from property, footpath and highway. T2 - Malus tree growing beside T1. Tree has a height of approximately 4 metres. Tree has a large snapped limb and poor form. Proposed works are to remove the tree due to poor condition. T3 - Mature Lawson Cypress tree near to house in back garden. Tree has a height of approximately 14 metres and spread of approximately 4.5 metres. Proposed works are to remove the tree due to low vigour and sparse crown. T4 - mature Lawson Cypress tree within lawn area. Tree has a height of approximately 14 metres and spread of approximately 5 metres. Proposed works are to lift lower crown of tree to a height of approximately 2 - 2.5 metres. These works will not affect height or spread of the tree. G1 - Mixed Group of Yew, Lawson Cypress and Bay tree on right hand side of back garden. Proposed works are to reduce side branches by approximately 1 - 1.5 metres to balance trees and regain garden area from over extended branches, whilst keeping height and screening. Bay tree has a height of approximately 5 metres and will be reduced to height of approximately 3.5 metres and trimmed to shape. G2 - Mixed Group of Yew, Lawson Cypress and Laurel on rear boundary. Proposed works are to remove understorey Laurels and reduce over extended side growth on Yew and Lawson Cypress trees to regain garden space whilst keeping height and screening.
