Tree Preservation Order EL:04/32 - Tree Works Specification (TPO Reference: EL 40/32) Tree A - Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa) TPO Reference: EL 40/32 Sketch Plan Number: A Proposed Works: Crown reduction by up to 4 metres to reduce overhang toward neighbouring properties and to improve balance and light penetration. Selective removal of damaged and broken branches, particularly those overhanging boundary lines. General crown clean to remove deadwood >25mm diameter and reduce risk of future branch failure. Reason for Works: Excessive shade and tree debris falling into neighbouring gardens, affecting residents' enjoyment and use of their outdoor space. Risk of injury from falling debris. Reported health impacts (e.g. child with eczema affected by contaminated toys). Debris prevents neighbour from using washing lines or garden areas. Tree B - Common Oak (Quercus robur) TPO Reference: EL 40/32 Sketch Plan Number: B Proposed Works: Crown reduction by up to 6 metres to reduce end-weight of lateral limbs overhanging neighbouring property. Selective pruning to remove hazardous broken branches and reduce structural stress on extended limbs. General crown clean to remove deadwood >25mm diameter. Reason for Works: Significant overhang and excessive weight on limbs growing towards neighbour's property. A large branch from this tree previously fell and crushed a metal shed; represents a repeat risk to safety and property. Shade and falling debris are a persistent nuisance to neighbours. Ongoing threat of injury, particularly to children playing in affected garden areas. Tree C - Common Oak (Quercus robur) TPO Reference: EL 40/32 Sketch Plan Number: C Proposed Works: Crown reduction by up to 6 metres to reduce canopy encroachment into neighbouring garden. Removal of any broken, hanging, or compromised branches to prevent potential failure. General crown clean to remove deadwood >25mm diameter. Reason for Works: Risk of branch failure causing injury or damage, particularly duri

East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

    34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS

Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
