Tree Preservation Order ESH:52 - The tree is exhibiting signs of both physical and physiological decline. I consider it likely that both are connected by a fungal pathogen or pathogens which are actively degrading both the tree's biomechanical structure and its vascular network. This is evident in the area of decayed wood and dysfunction visible at the base of the tree and in the dieback and poor foliar coverage in the crown. In my opinion, it is likely that the degradation of the wood at the base of the tree is now compromising the tree's ability to withstand wind loading. There are no treatment or pruning options likely to result in tree recovery due to the extent of dieback and the size and maturity of the tree. The dieback, poor foliar coverage, and lack of epicormic growth demonstrates low vitality within the tree and suggests that there is little opportunity for recovery at this late stage. As such I do not consider pruning to be a viable option to allow safe retention of the tree. Recommendations Fell tree.

53 Wolsey Road East Molesey Surrey KT8 9EW
East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

2026/1784 Granted
34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS
Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
