EL:91/08 - Tree Species: Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) Location: Close to the road. Proposed Work: We propose to reduce the height of the Douglas Fir by approximately 3 meters, cutting back into the thicker part of the canopy to address the leggy growth at the top. Reason for Work: The upper portion of the Douglas Fir has developed sparse and leggy growth, which increases the sail effect and susceptibility to wind damage. Reducing the height will improve the tree's stability by decreasing the sail capacity. Additionally, as the tree is located near a road, this reduction will mitigate potential risks associated with falling branches or storm damage, enhancing safety for both the property and passersby. Additional Considerations: All work will be conducted with respect for the tree's health and structural integrity, ensuring that the reduction promotes a balanced and natural canopy shape.

53 Wolsey Road East Molesey Surrey KT8 9EW
East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS
Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
