Tree Preservation Order EL:13/12 - Woodland Tree Preservation Order EL-13/12 Woodland edge adjoining the eastern boundary of No.1 Abbotts Tilt, Hersham (nearest location What3Words: moons.during.bags). This application relates to the mature woodland edge immediately adjoining the eastern boundary of No.1 Abbotts Tilt, Hersham, protected by Woodland Tree Preservation Order EL-13/12. The woodland canopy extends beyond the property boundary over the residential garden at No.1 Abbotts Tilt, the adjoining private estate road (Abbotts Tilt), and into close proximity with the overhead telecommunications line. Proposed Works Undertake a sympathetic lateral crown reduction limited to those branches extending beyond the boundary of No.1 Abbotts Tilt and over the adjoining private estate road. Prune overhanging branches back to suitable secondary growth points in accordance with BS 3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations, maintaining the natural form, structural integrity and long-term health of the woodland edge. Maintain appropriate clearance from the overhead telecommunications line where branches are in close proximity. No felling, topping or excessive crown reduction is proposed. The works are limited to reasonable boundary management and are intended to retain the long-term health, stability and amenity value of the protected woodland. Reason for the Works The woodland canopy has continued to extend beyond the property boundary since the adjoining landowner???s appointed arborist inspected the trees and advised that further growth should occur before an application for pruning was submitted. That additional growth has now taken place The proposed works are limited to managing overhanging branches affecting the residential property, maintaining appropriate clearance over the adjoining private estate road and from the overhead telecommunications line, while preserving the health, structure, character and amenity value of the protected woodland. East Molesey Kent Town Conservation Area - T1 - Lime tree on rear boundary - tree has a height of approximately 20 metres and spread of approximately 12 metres. Proposed works are to reduce crown by approximately 2-2.5 metres to previous pruning points, remove regrowth on main trunk to lift crown to a height of approximately 3 metres, leaving the tree with a height of approximately 17.5 metres and spread of approximately 8 metres. These works are being carried out to give clearance from pool house, maintain the tree at a reasonable size suitable to location by carrying out cyclical pruning and allowing light into pool area.

    34 Clive Road Esher Surrey KT10 8PS

Esher Conservation Area - T1 Leyland Cypress (Rear Garden) Fell to ground level. Reason for Works: The tree is situated in very close proximity to the adjacent outbuilding. As the tree has matured, the stem has increased to a diameter at breast height (DBH) of approximately 40 cm and is now in direct contact with the structure, causing abrasion and damage to the building. Due to the ongoing increase in stem diameter, further structural damage is considered likely if the tree is retained. The proposed removal is therefore necessary to prevent additional damage while maintaining the safety and integrity of the adjacent structure. T2 Lawson Cypress (Rear Garden) Remove one large declining lateral limb and carry out a crown clean to remove all deadwood throughout the canopy. Reason for Works: A substantial lateral limb is in decline, exhibiting extensive dieback and a significant reduction in live foliage. The removal of this limb is proposed to reduce the risk of branch failure and improve the tree's overall condition. In addition, deadwood will be removed throughout the crown to eliminate potential hazards, improve canopy health, and form part of routine arboricultural management.
