Planning application

UNIT 3, ROYAL LONDON PARK, FLANDERS ROAD, HEDGE END, SOUTHAMPTON, SO30 2LG

Refused Eastleigh T/24/98071 Consent under Tree Preservation Orders

Works: Trees

Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.

Proposal

1no. Oak (T1) - Reduce all over by 2m taking tree back suitable growth points & leaving in natural & balanced shape. Crown lift to 3m. Ensures showroom is visible from road, gives clearance to lamp post & footpath. Reduction will help to ensure its long-term health & amenity value. 1no. Oak (T2) - Fell. Tree is severely supressed by T1 & leaning heavily over footpath, road & obscuring highways speed sign. Best option is removal as is poor specimen & will always be compromised by T1.
