1no. Sweet Chestnut - Reduce selected lateral branches by up to 1.5m, specifically the branches extending towards roofline, guttering and conservatory area, and those overhanging the neighbouring garden. The branches would be pruned back to suitable growth points, maintaining the natural shape and balance of the crown. No topping, heavy reduction or removal of the tree is proposed. The overhanging branches are contributing to repeated blockage of gutters through leaf, twig and seed debris. This has caused rainwater to overflow from the gutters and run into the conservatory, creating a risk of ongoing water ingress and property damage. Reduction is intended to provide reasonable clearance from the guttering and conservatory roofline, reduce future gutter obstruction, and help prevent further water overflow into the conservatory. The works would also reduce the extent of overhang into the neighbouring garden, help maintain good neighbour relations, and improve light penetration to plants beneath and around the tree.

1no. Beech (T1) - Remove. Tree works are proposed to stop the influence of the tree(s) on the soil below building foundation level and provide long term stability to No. 19. It is the expert opinion of both the case engineer and arboriculturist that on the balance of probabilities the supporting information demonstrates the influence of the tree(s).
