1no. Cedar (1) - Fell. 1no. Juniper (2) - Fell. It is proposed that both trees are felled as the Cedar tree is pushing against the fence separating the house and neighbour's house. The Juniper tree has also grown very large and both trees are blocking sunlight into the garden. The area where the trees were will potentially be replaced with vegetables or plants. Propose to plant a tree - possibly a Amelanchier Canadensis where marked X on the plan attached instead.

1no. Magnolia (T1) - Tree remove in its entirety. Located on boundary line between our & next door property. Tree has grown considerably over the years, as a result the bole of tree has caused the wall supporting the side of the driveway to collapse. Additionally, the root growth is starting to affect neighbour’s driveway & the damage will get worse & require re-paving. Following discussion with the neighbour, it is agreed that we will have the tree removed in its entirety.

1no. Unspecified Species - Remove. Tree has grown into the garage and parking area serving the neighbouring properties . Should the tree remain in place, it will require regular professional maintenance, including pruning to prevent further encroachment into neighbouring land and the garage area. Given the size and location of the tree, this work would likely need to be carried out on a recurring basis, potentially every year. Unfortunately, the ongoing cost of such maintenance is not something we can reasonably afford in the long term. The tree is causing several issues. Prevents from installing a secure boundary fence along the rear of the garden. This leaves the rear of the property open and accessible from the neighbouring garage area, creating an ongoing security concern. There is evidence that a brick boundary wall previously existed in this location. The remaining sections of wall and the position of the tree suggest that its growth has contributed to the wall's collapse over time. The tree is also heavily covered with ivy, which has become increasingly difficult to manage. The ivy is now spreading into neighbouring properties and the adjoining garage area, creating maintenance issues and obscuring the condition of the tree itself. We believe that tree's removal is the most appropriate and practical long-term solution.
