Listed Building Consent - Replace the conservatory on the rear (South facing) aspect of their property. The existing conservatory is thought to have been erected in the late 1970s. It is of softwood construction and whilst it has been well maintained over the years it is now beyond repair. The current owners would like something more sympathetic to their listed building and more practical as a living area. The proposal involves the removal of the softwood conservatory and replacing it with a green oak frame, double glazed glass panels and an insulated slate roof with velux windows. Most of the dwarf wall and existing floor will be retained. The only proposed change to the physical size of the conservatory is that my clients wish to square off what is currently a hipped end into a flat gable. There will be no increase in overall length, height or width.
