MIDDLETON CONSERVATION AREA - Remove Elm tree (T1) as it is growing in close proximity to the gable end of the historic property and needs to be removed to prevent further damage; Remove Sycamore tree (T3) as it is a poor specimen in an elevated position, has been injured by an excessively tight washing line, has previously been heavily reduced, and continued growth is likely to push the fence and wall out due to the natural expansion of the root plate; Crown lift Sycamore (T2) to 8m over the applicants garden by pruning back tertiary branches, crown reduce by 10% all round by no more than a 2m - 3m reduction to appropriate growth points as illustrated in the submitted photograph, and crown thin by 10% as required on the rest of the tree to balance and shape and to prune away the tree from the applicants historic building and faciliate more daylight into the garden.
