Planning application

Graves End House Village Road Woodbury Salterton Devon EX5 1PG

Granted East Devon 26/0847/TRE Felling/Lopping (TPO)

Works: Trees Small domestic

Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T4 (Tag number 7832): Oak - reduce the large low branch extending over the garden back to the dominant upright branch just beyond the fence. Remove any small branches below this point that extend over the garden. Reduce the height of the tree to just above the first major fork while retaining the small cavity on the western side of the tree. The final pruning cut should be positioned so that the cavity is preserved and the potential roosting or nesting feature is not destroyed. (Position of pruning cuts are shown in Tree Condition and Assessment Report.)

T1: Cypress - removal. Removal of t1 due to its proximity to client owned and neighbouring structures and primarily its close proximity to the dividing wall. T1 will begin to cause damage to the wall and neighbouring garage immediately behind, with no options to mitigate this and retain the tree, as well as being an inappropriate species of tree with very limited pruning options in an inappropriate location, therefore removal is required. Client is planting four replacement trees this planting season consisting of Hawthorn, Cherry and Rowan.
