Proposal
Pollarding of the two mature horse chestnut trees on the cobbled area in front of properties 41-45 Kirkgate, Cockermouth. This work is carried out regularly and routinely every 5-7 years. It helps preserve the form of the trees and minimises risks to people and vehicles from falling damaged branches. It also ensures safe and clear access for people and vehicles on to the cobbled area as well as ensuring the safety of / preventing damage to the overhead telephone lines servicing the properties adjacent to the cobbled area.
