Planning application

Church Of St Peter Middle Road Little Barrington Gloucestershire

Awaiting decision Cotswold 26/02332/TCONR

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

The churchyard contains the following: (2) Holly (5) Yew (1) Oak We plan a 'generational' trim to bring the growth under control and to ensure that future church stewards will not have to revisit the tree work for some period. This means: Trimming of overgrown canopies by 25% - 45%+ to both reshape and eliminate livestock risk. Reduction of the large 'multiple tree' yew (see diagram) to regain shape and rationalize future growth. This will likely mean removal of 1 or more of the extra trees that have combined into the large growth.
