Mixed Cypress hedge, Monterey Lawson, 4 larger Monterey Cypress to south, Hedge 2- Clear fell/Removal work to be completed by Central Trees Services on boundary of Amberdale & Manor Hall Withington Line of mixed Cypress hedge total 26 trunks, original planting has become out of hand due to excessive growth and lack of maintenance from previous owners, wrong use of species for partition hedging between properties. This is causing excessive shading for the property, which is increasing moisture around the back of the property shadowed by the canopy. The species are of low amenity value and are currently putting excessive stress on several native species of trees and hedging of ornamental value, Conifers in general are known to increase localised temperatures due to there composition, this in turn also plays a large part in the ecological balance of the estate and the species of fauna and flora that thrive in the area. The trees and hedges affected are listed and numbered below, In correspondence with the tree plan provided. They are currently showing signs of poor health and growth habit due to the competition on resources required for optimum growth. Of professional opinion that if the Cypress are to be removed The estate can save and add several tree species that will have a greater benefit and service to the local ecosystem and neighbouring properties. Tree & hedge species to remain: 1848- Robinia Psuedoacacia. 1849- Unkown species 1850- Fagus sylvatica 1851-Aesculus hippcastanum- Horse chestnut 1852- Robinia psuedoacacia 1853- Robinia psuedoacacia 1854- Fagus sylvatica ' Purpurea'- Copper Beech 1855- Fraxinus excelsior -Common Ash 665- Fraxinus excelsior- Common Ash 22- Taxus baccata Hedge 1- Fagus sylvatica. The estate (Halewell LTD) also intends to plant 2 new trees as apart of its tree management plan, (Native and Botanically important species in keeping with the surrounding area) per tree felled throughout the estate in two new proposed woodland plan...
