Works: Trees Small domestic
Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Oaks: Crown thin two semi-mature oaks by approximately 10% and remove all dead wood from within internal crown. Crown raise over drive side to approximately 5 metres. This will include the removal of lower heavy laterals to clear garaging roofline and gain suitable lift height. Goat Willow: Crown thin throughout to improve structure and raise over driveway to approximately 5 metres. Hazel Group: The re-coppicing of four mature hazels standing beside boundary wall. This will include coppicing down close to ground level at the point where the stems develop. Lime: Crown thin throughout and remove dead wood. Crown raise over parking bays to approximately 3.5 metres and lightly reduce lower canopy over parking areas. Laurel and Mixed Hedging: Dividing parking and rear garden boundary. This group is to be reduced down to a point of approximately 1.5 metres (height of your side trim line). Laurel: Reduce single large laurel on boundary next to neighbouring property by approximately 50% and hard trim side growth to reform for future management.

T1 - Sycamore tree to be crown reduced and balanced. This tree is absolutely massive in comparison to the very small garden behind this property, and the garden has nothing growing in it at all as this tree now completely covers the whole garden. The branches are very nearly touching the house, there is significant dead wood in the centre of the crown and the tree is very misshapen. There was a large Ash tree growing next to it at number 28 that was removed due to Ash Dieback some years ago. This removal has left the Sycamore tree very two dimensional with most of the canopy over the garden of number 27. There is a very large lateral scaffold limb protruding from approximately one meter from the ground out of the side of the main trunk, that probably has nearly half of the canopy growing from it. Currently the tree has a height of approx. 12-14 meters, with a spread of approx. 7-8 meters north and east, approx. 6-7 meters south and approx. 2-3 meters west. Proposal is to reduce the height by approx. 4-5 meters, the spread by approx. 2-3 meters north and east, approx. 2-3 meters south and approx. 0.5 meters west to blend and balance the canopy. Also to remove the dead stem top in the centre.
