What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

Tresallyn Farm Sanders Hill St Merryn Padstow Cornwall PL28 8JZ
National Grid have been requested to provide a three phase connection to a location which is remote from our existing network. To facilitate this connection there is a requirement to add a third wire to two spans of HV overhead network from pole 43N25 - 43N25B for approximately 175m, highlighted in green on the plan CE5769093SECT37. From pole 43N25A it is proposed to extend the HV network by an underground cable for approximately 838m. This cable will support a stand alone 'H' pole configuration upon which a three phase pole mounted transformer will be erected. The proposed pole mounted transformer will provide the new connection at three phase by an underground LV cable. These works are highlighted in pink on the plan
