The process from here

This application is with Conwy for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About heritage and listed buildings applications

How this application type works

Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.

CCBC requires the strengthening and repair of Pont Pengwern to maintain its structural integrity and to ensure the important road link is maintained. The proposed works constitute repairs and strengthening of the bridge structure together with the installation of scour protection measures within the river channel beneath. The proposed repair methods considered consist of: 1.Vacuum grouting internal structure 2. Installation of Pattress plates 3. Installation of concrete slab and waterproofing layer 4.
