Open the documentsWhat a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.

Non-Material Variation to 19/01117/FUL - change of previously approved sash and case window to revert to casement formation on front elevation of property. Previously installed window was casement style, permission was approved to lower cill and change to sash and case, however it is proposed to reinstall casement style with the lowered cill. Increase height of ridge light along apex of roof as installed to 400mm. In order for the structure of the ridge light to work appropriately a 150mm timber packing piece had to be installed above what was approved, which has also allowed the window to be flashed appropriately to ensure longevity. Paint existing windows dark grey to match previously approved steelwork details.
