Planning application
3 Wood Croft Guilden Sutton Chester CH3 7SS
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Oak tree (T1) - 2.5-3 m reduction on over extended specific limbs and to reduce the rest of the canopy to match in with the new pruning point on the over extended limbs. This will include a height reduction of 1.5m. The majority of the works will be taken on branches and limbs that are on 3 Wood Croft, the tree does overhang onto 6 Hickmore Heys but a overall reduction on their side is not necessary due to their side already being in line with the proposed new canopy formation due to having maintenance on that side previously.

Trees located to the Dell (between 41 and 43 Oaklands) are not subject to pruning by the council. Trees have grown and overhang/shade my property (no. 43) and I wish to pollard the trees. To that extent, this application is a repeat of a previously approved application.

Felling of 1 Sycamore (within woodland) due to concerns about its leaning towards the property causing excessive shading, and the eccentric growth of the tree is a risk that could fall over which would cause damage to the property.

Mature Lime tree (T1) - Dead wooding works throughout the whole tree for duty of care; alongside a crown congestion clean. Mature Yew tree (T2) - Dead wooding works and crown raising to 2.1-2.4m over footpath due to the tree blocking access to the footpath. Mature Cherry tree (T3) - Dead wooding works, removal of ivy from base and continual monitoring of the tree to see if the decline worsens. If this is the case, we would then recommend a full removal and if possible, plant a replacement of a similar tree. Mature Beech tree (T4) - A coronet cut to speed the process of healing along for the tree. Conifer (T5) - Crown raise, and removal of 1.8-2.2m to allow access to gutters for property maintenance.
