Proposal
Remove lower branches from mature Scots Pine tree in communal area at front of property. The lower branches are growing downwards and are heavily weighted at the tips. The tree has suffered from storm damage over the last few years. Removing the lowest branches will clean the stem up leaving a well shaped top canopy.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

Complete a 30% reduction mature medium sized Maple tree. The tree is impacting on a specimen twisted Ash tree nearby so a 30% reduction will ensure both canopies have sufficient light and space to grow. The Maple tree has good growth points to be reduce to down too. Prune back side branches of Scots Pine tree. Lower branch has suffered storm damage in the past so tear out will be tidied up. Side branches to be pruned back to protect canopy of specimen twisted Ash tree.

Complete 30% reduction and crown thin on mature medium sized Sycamore tree in back garden. The tree benefits from many suitable growth points so a 30% reduction is appropriate to keep the tree a good size and natural shape. Reduce long 'leggy' branches on mature Beech tree in back garden. The tree has several long lateral and upward branches that will benefit from being reduced in to keep shape and prevent future failures.
