Planning application
Lime Tree House Becketts Lane Great Boughton Chester CH3 5RW
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Lime Trees x 12 - re-pollard to historic pollard height at approx. 4-5 metres. At their current height the trees cause excessive shade, encroach on the property and are oppressive in a moderately sized urban garden. Reducing the height would allow us to retain the environmental benefits whilst allowing reasonable and viable future management

The row of lime trees are located on the southern boundary of the property require a reduction in the weight of vegetation which has grown from or is supported by branches which have grown from epicormic buds. The trees are dangerous for the children to play near due to the regular detachment of large branches. The trees are in bad condition and are low amenity.
