Planning application
6 Earls Oak Upton Chester Cheshire CH2 1EX
Works: Trees
Refused. Only the applicant can appeal, within the statutory time limit, and a revised scheme can be submitted instead.
Proposal
Please refer to attached plan and report - request to dismantle Tree 2 (T2) Betula Reason for application is "significant" likelihood of failure and risk from position adjacent to the property. The tree has been maintained and regularly inspected since 2002 and is now exhibiting a heavy lean and is exposed to prevailing SW winds. Tree pre-exists the property which was built in 1978 so is likely to be approximately 50 years old, and susceptibility to softwood failure (see report) Since purchasing the property in 2002, an additional seven (7) trees have been planted and matured which maintain the amenity value of the site. Trees are T4-T10 inclusive.
