Planning application
Old Farm Cottage West End Ashton Hayes Chester Cheshire CH3 8DG
Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
Beech (T1) Fell because of excessive shading of large part of garden during morning and afternoon light. The tree overhangs a public footpath which branch failure may impact. Beech (T2) Reduce crown height by 2m and crown lift to 3m because of low amenity value and shading of neighbour's garden Magnolia (T3) Fell because of excessive shading during afternoon sunlight. The flowering period of 2 weeks per year does not balance the loss of shade. Yew (T4) Reduce width and height by 2m because telephone wire is at risk of failure as it runs through the tree branches Cherry (T5) Reduce crown by 2m because of excessive shading of morning light Yew Hedge (T6) Reduce to half height (1m) because of excessive shading Apple (T7) Fell because of weakened status due to hollow trunk Cherry (T9) Reduce crown by 3m because of unmanaged growth
