Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1-T10 are all mature Crack Willows which have failed naturally and have fallen across the River Cherwell. Under the Landowners Riparian Responsibilities there is a duty to remove any fallen branches or trees that may be obstructing the water course. The Landowner is therefore seeking consent to remove the fallen trees and clear any obstruction. Where possible any work carried out to the trees will be undertaken so as to try and preserve the health and longevity of the tree in question (ie: Pollarding). It is expected that the extraction of any timber can be done so without causing any material damage to other mature trees within the woodland. However, there may be a requirement to trim back some hawthorn on the woodland boundary to facilitate access and/or an opening to wench material out and off the flood plain. Any such sections will be replanted with Hawthorn to ensure any short term impact is remedied - subject to TPO 08/2017

A crab apple tree situated within the small front garden. The tree has become overgrown and disproportionately large for the confined garden area, with a dense crown extending close to the house and over the front garden. Its size and position make the garden difficult to maintain and reduce light to the front elevation and adjoining windows. The proposal is to remove the tree and stump and restore the front garden

Sycamore - crown reduce by 2-2.5m south removing up to 3m and crown thin by 20%, the pruning will allow additional light to reach the garden and clear the residence. The adjacent tree east was pruned by us around 2 years ago, the aerial image shows the clearance we achieved. Epicormic growth 0-8m will also be removed. To re-shape the retained crown a 1m reduction (removing up to 2m) above the neighbouring garden, west will be completed - subject to TPO 023/2005
