Both sycamores are heavily overgrown with ivy and are located beneath the canopy of a healthy, well-established horse chestnut. Following consultation with a horticulturist, it has been advised that the area is overly congested, which is negatively impacting the health and growth potential of the horse chestnuts. To support the long-term vitality of the horse chestnut trees, which are a priority for retention, the proposed plan is to fell both sycamores.
