Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
G1 x Row of 13 nos Leylandii G2 x 4 nos Spruce Which previously made a hedge for screening from neighboring properties. These trees have not been maintained as a hedge for many years. They were topped off approximately 10 years ago. All of these trees are now over mature and have reached the end of their useful life expectancy. All of the limbs are extremely long and heavy for their attachments and have now started to fail. These trees are now a hazard to the public footpath below and surrounding properties that are within striking distance of failing branches. They also restrict the sun into all surrounding areas. The application is to remove all of these trees in order to prevent any damage or injuries occurring.

A crab apple tree situated within the small front garden. The tree has become overgrown and disproportionately large for the confined garden area, with a dense crown extending close to the house and over the front garden. Its size and position make the garden difficult to maintain and reduce light to the front elevation and adjoining windows. The proposal is to remove the tree and stump and restore the front garden

Sycamore - crown reduce by 2-2.5m south removing up to 3m and crown thin by 20%, the pruning will allow additional light to reach the garden and clear the residence. The adjacent tree east was pruned by us around 2 years ago, the aerial image shows the clearance we achieved. Epicormic growth 0-8m will also be removed. To re-shape the retained crown a 1m reduction (removing up to 2m) above the neighbouring garden, west will be completed - subject to TPO 023/2005
